BIG BEAR A man that police suspect stabbed another man at a Barstow gas station last month was arrested Monday in Big Bear on charges of attempted murder.

Jason Yeaman, 28, and another man allegedly began fighting outside the Valero gas station at Armory Road and Barstow Road on March 22 when Yeaman stabbed the other man in the back with a screwdriver, according to the Barstow Police Department. The victim was treated for his injuries at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and released a few days later.

Yeaman fled the scene and was located in Big Bear after the Barstow Police Department received an anonymous tip about his location, said Sgt. Andy Espinoza Sr. San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies arrested Yeaman without incident Monday in Big Bear and brought him to the Barstow Police station, where he was booked on attempted murder charges.

Yeaman is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday in the Barstow Courthouse. He currently remains in custody at West Valley Detention Center in lieu of $1 million bail.
