BARSTOW • The Planning Commission discussed the following at its meeting on Monday:
Model home construction • The Planning Commission voted 3-1 Monday night to approve the construction of two model homes on Bluebird Street. Commissioner Diane Flores abstained from the vote because the homes will be listed on the Multiple Listing Service and she sells homes using the same service.
Williams Homes, Inc. will be building two new model homes in a subdivision near the intersection of Muriel Drive and Zion Drive in Barstow. Williams Homes purchased the partially built subdivision from Century Village, which previously built 22 homes on the site. One of the model homes will have a sales office for the future development.
Barstow Station Too sign addition • The Planning Commission voted 3-1 to approve the addition and updating of a current sign used to advertise Barstow Station Too. Flores abstained from the vote because she is a personal friend of applicant Ben Rosenberg.
Rosenberg said he wished to update and modify the existing sign in order to make the sign look more appealing and keep up-to-date with new technology. The sign would be located directly above the Ramada sign and will increase the height of the sign by four feet.
