BARSTOW • Time has almost run out for the unknown person who bought a winning $12 million SuperLotto Plus ticket from Barstow Station in April.
After almost six months, no one has stepped forward with the winning ticket. If the winner doesn't claim the money by 5 p.m. Thursday, he or she will lose an opportunity to become a millionaire. The $12 million will help fund California public schools instead.
"If it's not claimed by 5 p.m. that ticket (will be) expired," said CA Lottery spokesman Alex Traverso Wednesday.
The winning lottery ticket was purchased at Barstow Station Ice Cream Shoppe. The drawing took place April 24. The winning numbers are 25, 27, 39, 6, 15 and the Mega number is 17.
The owners of the ice cream shop, Champ and Peggy Sue Gabler, received a $60,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
To claim the prize, the winner has to sign the back of the ticket and contact lottery officials at 909-806-4126, or visit the lottery's Inland Empire office at 1840 Commercenter Circle in San Bernardino.
