Raymond Perea
Retired educator

Experience as a College administrator with over thirty years of teaching experience will provide the district with insight into collective bargaining, curriculum development, budget development and management. I'm concerned about the current issues facing the district and how they will affect my six grandchildren currently attending. I plan to be an active board member listening to all and focusing on the issues important to students and their families.

In today's tough economic times it is important that voters elect to the board someone who is experienced; who does not have a learning curve; who can immediately step right in and make difficult decisions based on knowledge about district policies, needs, and challenges. I offer our community a candidate with five years experience/ knowledge and insight in dealing with school budgets and operations; I am connected to our kids and committed to our.

Ben Rosenberg
Business owner

Having been an elected official with the Barstow Fire Protection District for the past ten years, I realize what commitment it takes to be elected. Owning a large family business here in town helps me understand the tough economic times facing all of us in California. My past community involvement, as well as my business and elected experience gives me an insight into current issues facing the District. Barstow teachers support me, so should you.

Gene Stoops
Retired maintenance supervisor

I believe that I have a lot to offer the school district from my experience over the years dealing with money problems and finding ways to make it work. Having worked with all of the departments in the district and having a general knowledge of their job, I can work with them to find solutions to the restraints on funding.
