During the next three days, the Desert Dispatch will run responses to several questions put to candidates running for two seats on the Barstow Unified School District Board of Trustees. Each day, answers to a different question will run. The candidates were given a word limit, and their responses have not been edited.

I began in 1980 when I answered an add for math teachers at BUSD in San Diego. T.J. Owens was the principal at the time. Gotta respect that man even though we butted heads and I resigned at the end of the school year. Wood shop and asst. football opened at the high school and T.J. recommended me for the both positions.  I had a great two years before I moved on to Silver Valley.
