BARSTOW Barstow police arrested a man who reportedly stabbed another man during a fight.

Edward Carrion, 42, turned himself into the Barstow Police Department station Sunday night and was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Police responded to a fight on Oasis Drive at 4:47 p.m. Sunday and found that a man had been stabbed in the stomach and arm, police Sgt. Andy Espinoza, Sr., said. The victim was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center, where his injuries were found to be non-life-threatening, Espinoza said.

Carrion and the victim apparently had an argument that escalated to a physical fight, at which point Carrion stabbed the other man, Espinoza said. Witnesses identified Carrion as the suspect.

According to San Bernardino County jail logs, Carrion was held at West Valley Detention Center Tuesday with his bail set at $1 million.
