Right, Saryssa Herrera, 7, picks up trash as Barstow Boys and Girls Club employee Tammy Moya holds the bag at Concordia Christian School on Friday. More than a dozen members of the club helped to clean up the school in honor the memory of Martin Luther King Jr.

`It was nice to do it because we're helping people just like Martin Luther King Jr. did,' said Kayla Green, 9.

On Saturday at 10 a.m. community members will march up Barstow Road to promote peace in honor of King. The event, sponsored by the Art and Industrial Women's Club, starts in the parking lot at the intersection of Barstow Road and Williams Street and ends at the Cora Harper Community Center.
