Are you ready to vote?

The Feb. 5 Presidential Primary Election will allow voters to choose candidates to represent their political party in the November Presidential Election and decide on eight propositions in concerning funding for community colleges, transportation projects, extended term limits for legislators and casino compacts for four Indian tribes.

Important dates: The deadline to register to vote is Jan. 21
Vote by mail applications must be received by the county by Jan. 29
Election day is Feb. 5.

To register: Fill out a registration form available at DMV offices, Social Security offices, post offices, libraries, Barstow City Hall at 220 E. Mountain View in Barstow, or political party headquarters and mail it to the Registrar of Voters at 777 E. Rialto Avenue, San Bernardino, CA 92415-0770

To vote by mail: Applications are available on the back cover of the sample ballot, on the Internet at, or from the Registrar of Voters office in San Bernardino.
