KRAMER JUNCTION - A Mojave woman who went missing on Sunday evening has been found by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

Det. Anthony Padfield from the Barstow sheriff's station found Marchelle Celine Miranda-McKinney. Miranda-McKinney, 47, at 12:51 p.m. on Monday, Sgt. Manny Mendoza said. She was found on the side of State Highway 58 near Kramer Junction.

Mendoza said Miranda-McKinney was dehydrated and sore but otherwise in good shape after wandering in the desert for 17 hours. Deputies from the Barstow sheriff's station, volunteers with Barstow's Desert Search and Rescue Squad and a sheriff's helicopter searched the desert area along U.S. Route 395 just north of State Highway 58 after Miranda-McKinney's boyfriend reported her missing. The two were picking up cans along US 395 when she wandered off with two dogs.
